I’ve chosen the Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International license for almost all of my work because Aaron Swartz. If this license is not “free culture” enough for you, first of all you should tell the family and colleagues of this architect of the Creative Commons itself that they’ve pissed on his memory by posthumously licensing his legacy under the same conditions. This step is optional and strongly discouraged.
The next step is just ask me. That’s it. I doubt it’ll take 48 hours in total for us to understand each other and for me to issue you a license that will allow you to
- Use my work in a video or other commercial projects requiring sync rights
- Perform, record, and sell your own version or “cover”
- Uses in which your imagination has surpassed mine
under terms different from those in the public license, which allows you to do all that stuff anyway as long as you credit me, don’t intend to advertise with or directly profit from my work or work that includes mine, and share with others using the same license.
