Kyle Bronsdon

Since I was 13 years old, all I wanted to do was make an honest, modest living doing music. Every dollar I made went to gear, lessons, open mic drink minimums.

There was a middle class then. My heroes were sidemen.

I’m ashamed that it took me until my forties to see what was so clear: That it’s called “the American dream” because, as George Carlin saw decades ago, you have to be asleep to believe it.

Caitlin Johnstone has written “Mainstream culture is one giant psyop geared toward keeping people fueling the oppression machine.”

I am done inviting and celebrating the exploitation of myself and others. My work is here for you, take it.

You’re entitled to nice things. I try to make them.
