This was supposed to be a joyful milestone. Sabic should replace “remove masking after installation” on Lexan with the legend “You will hate your life if you do not immediately remove masking after installation, insuring that it is not exposed to sunlight even though the stuff UNDER the masking is UV protected.”
I washed the center with soap and water, then with wd40, then possibly mineral spirits, I forget exactly. I was getting desperate. Anyway, at some point it did something to the masking that made it possible to carefully scrape off with a wide plastic scraper, scratching the shit out of it, but light enough scratches to polish out.
Now I have to wait a night on the curb side curved window and see if it was the wd40.
